Murph reaches 200 Game Milestone
The St Kevin's Old Boys Football Club congratulates one its favorite sons and Premiership Player Matt Murphy on reaching the magical 200 game milestone.
Matt finished his time at St.Kevin’s College in 2005 and joined the old boys the following year in 2006.
It didn't take long for Matt to make an impression on the club as a cheeky forward pocket, he played Senior footy in his first year and his goal celebrations quickly became a trademark of a guy who gave great energy to his teammates.
Over the next 12 years Matt dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the club, on and off field he has done everything in his powers to drive the club forward and in 2015 he so deservedly achieved the ultimate team success winning the 2015 Premier B Grand Final.
On field, Matt's game has evolved over his time, starting as a forward he then went back during the middle of his career and now find himself finishing his footy being played forward and even the odd midfield rotation these days.
Off field Matt has been one of the key pillars in a group who has driven the club forward to the position it finds itself today. From social events to footy trips, working bees to mentoring, Matt is always a constant.
Together with his amazing Murphy family, SKOB are incredibly grateful and lucky to have such a selfless and loyal man and Matt we wish you all the very best.
