Thirds Premiers

SKOB Gold kickstarted the Club's grand final campaign in style with a 14-point Premier Thirds victory against Old Xaverians Red. Troy McMaster was phenomenal for SKOB in a standout display, while Charles Randles and Patrick Rhodes impressed. Harrison Kelly nailed three majors of his own for Xavs and James Samartzis continued his fantastic form as their best player.

Old Xavs claim Reserves Flag

Old Xaverians bounced back from the Premier Reserve Grand Final loss in 2016 with a hard-fought victory over St Kevin’s at Trevor Barker Oval. Led by a best-on-ground performance from Nick Nunan and three Louis Denton goals, Xavs came from 11 points down at the first break with eight of the last 12 majors. They owned the second quarter with four goals to one and maintained the ascendancy despite SKOB coming with five points at the last break. Luke Barry was also outstanding for Xavs while Harris Lagastes and James Stewart were standouts for SKOB. It is the 14th Reserves flag for Xavs to go alongside their 20 senior premierships.

Best on Ground Medal: Nick Nunan (Old Xaverians)
