SKOBFC would like to invite all past players, supporters, family and friends of the club down to TH King on... https://t.co/prosNRhXLZ
The club would like to congratulate one of our favourites Bill Coates on his 100th game.
Bill started his time at skob in 2012 in the U 19's after a successful couple of years in the SKC first XVIII programme (2011 First XVIII Premiership Player)
After enjoying his time with his mates in the 19's, his footballing ability led him to to the senior team late in the year where he made an immediate impact as a key position forward.
He became somewhat of a utility in his first couple of years in the Seniors. Playing a combination of key forward and ruck before being settled down at centre half back in 2014.
In recent years Bill has become one of the premier key defenders in the competition, winning the Jack Douglas Medal as SKOBs best and fairest for 2016 and this year he represented the VAFA at senior level with distinction.
There are not too many more popular figures within our club then Bill Coates and we all congratulate you and your family on both your achievements to date and the great character that you are.
Anthony Kirwan joined SKOBs in 2011, after a successful football career at St Kevin’s College where he was a member of the 2010 First XVIII team.
He went on to play 32 Under 19 games, before gaining Senior selection in 2013.
He has gone on to play a number of senior and reserve games, taming some of the biggest forwards/beasts in the VAFA, but this year he has become a valuable member of the Premier Thirds Gold side, with the hope of adding a Premiership to his SKOB career.
Anthony is not only a huge asset to have on the ground, but it is his off the ground presence and energy that makes him such a loved individual around the club as he provides plenty or laughs and stories that sometimes have a little bit of ‘mayo’ on the top! Well done ‘Maxy’.
